“I AM NOT BEING PARANOID!” I screamed looking at the guy in front of me. His eyes were gleaming with an incandescent light;
he lifted a hand to brush his blazing hair and smiled mockingly. The fireheart was of the Spring Court, everything was always
a joke to him. “Come on, Tyson, you know as well as I do that they are coming! They are looking for us!” I said, becoming
slightly irritated at seeing him laugh like that in my face. “Theros and Jack said it! They saw them downtown! Loyalists,
Tyson! No less than ten of them!” Although his smile didn’t waiver, I saw a moment of panic in his eyes; he knew I wasn’t
lying. “The Others sent them after us,” I added, referring to the Fae. “Jack almost got caught, he barely managed to get away.
Thank God he ran into Theros! They managed to disappear and ran to the Free-Hold, the loyalists couldn’t sniff them out!”
Jack and I were both of the Winter Court. We would both go into hiding soon enough but we wanted to get the word out before
we vanished. Theros was already assembling the Summer Court to make an attack on them, and the Autumn Court had been
informed too… “Man, you have to go hide! It’s the only reasonable thing to do! You can’t want to go back there any more
than I do! Warn your group, tell them to lay low!”
Vague memories were still haunting me from my time in Arcadia, and what I did remember didn’t give me any good reason to
want to risk being brought back there again. I remember the cold deadly eyes of my Keeper… To him, I was nothing more than
a tool, a piece of furniture… A toy. To serve twenty years, to lose everything… Friends… Family… Myself!
Never! They would never catch me again, no matter how hard they tried! I had told them, at the Free-Hold, that they
were going to come for us. I had told them and some had scoffed or laughed… Now they would see that I wasn’t simply
paranoid! “I warned you Tyson, I did my job. Now go hide. I know I will.”
